So, it was announced by Benjamin Moore that their color of the year for 2011 is PURPLE
Purple was very popular last year as well.
Pantone, Dulux and others have their own opinons of color of the year, ranging from pinkish red to soft yellow, it will be interesting to see what color really takes off.
For those of you who love purple, it should be a very good year to update or redecorate!

Purples, by Benjamin Moore
Purple - plum, magenta, eggplant, aubergine, lavender, lilac, violet, mauve, lilac, mulberry, orchid, grape, amethyst, twilight, raisin - so many beautiful hues to choose from. Purple is elegant, rich and passionate. It represents royalty, power, sophistication.
Dark purple lends a warm, quiet feeling to a room while light purples add a touch of the romantic. Lavender and softer hues of purple are soothing and perfect for bedrooms and children's rooms.

My favourites are definitely the dirty purples and my favourite pic was the one with B moore violetta. It is such a sophisticated and subtle colour.
