Just finished Christmas decorating at another home and thought you'd enjoy seeing the beautiful results!
Vivian's beautiful newly remodeled home is decorated in deep reds, greens, gold and deep wood tones. You couldn't have a better color setting for Christmas - as you can see in these photos.
the welcome starts at the gate, double wreaths mirror each other
no matter if the gate is open or closed, the view is the same
I went with swags instead of wreaths for the double front doors.
Gold dupioni silk ribbon takes them up a notch to elegant.

In the living room, green pinecone garland drapes the staircase accented with red ribbon
sparkling hydrangeas and sugared fruit adorning the newel posts.

Vivian's tree is decorated in beautiful ornaments by Barcana. They are shatterproof, so little hands don't have to worry about broken glass. Red and gold ribbon enhances the tree which is topped with an arrangement of florals and picks.
I created swags for the light sconces flanking the mirror on the other side of the room.
The swags are accented with sugared fruit - carrying that theme over from the newel posts.
The same red ribbon is also used here.
I created a centerpiece for the dining room
Christmas greens and silk peonies were our choice, complimenting the colors of the room.
Vivian displays her nativity on the sideboard.
A lantern brought in from the patio adds a festive touch in the great room.
A child-friendly nativity resides on the lower shelf where it can be touched and played with.
the first being ordinary green garland with pinecones.
Layer two - snow frosted picks and ribbon were added to create a full custom look. A special ornament and ribbon decorates the topiaries flanking the fireplace.
Vivian wanted something for her kitchen table - often the hub of family life. We decided to put it on a tray for easy removal when necessary.
A large glass vase holds a candlestick with candle - making it instantly important.
Pillar candle is wrapped in berries and sprinkled with snow.
More snow, pine and sugared pears complete the simple tablescape.
Large bows and a strip of ribbon turn these tall doors into Christmas card display.
Lovely little 3M command hangers make my life so much easier during Christmas decorating. I anchor all my garland, swags and wreaths with the little miracles.
I used them in Vivian's back yard as well on her fireplace mantle. Keeps the garland tight and keeps it in place.
Vivian has a lovely yard and entertaining is a common pasttime with 3 teenagers. The fireplace mantel received garland, berries and picks of pine. Swags were created for the alcoves at the sides of the fireplace.
A cluster of trees and Santa himself resides in the corner.
All is ready. Just waiting for Mr. Claus to arrive!
Hope you enjoyed the tour!
I would love to hear what you think!

The house is beautiful and so is the decoration. Both the house and decoration do justice to each other....I am enjoying this blog and hope to see many more lovely posts in future.
